Tanner Mulkay is a graduate-level intern currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of North Texas. He previously completed his Bachelor of Social Work degree from Utah Valley University. Tanner has previous experience working with diverse populations, including teenagers diagnosed with Autism, along with their families, struggling with behavioral disorders and trauma.
Tanner draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Tanner believes strongly in collaboration, and seeks to build an environment for his clients that allows them to feel heard, understood, and empowered to create the life they want in line with their own values. He is passionate about supporting individuals struggling with transitions, mental health challenges, and other life events that can cause stress or grief.
Tanner brings with him a sense of warmth and curiosity into sessions. Tanner works with teens and adults looking to explore and process difficult emotions and experiences.
