Sofie Swink is a graduate intern pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Science from Oklahoma State University. Sofie brings experience working with diverse populations, including teenagers, college students, and adults. She also has a background in career coaching through her work with college-aged individuals and professional employers at UNT.

Sofie approaches counseling from a holistic and narrative perspective, emphasizing the importance of understanding each client’s unique story. She believes that many challenges are shaped by personal experiences and broader societal influences. She works collaboratively with clients to explore and reframe these narratives. Through psychoeducation, a strengths-based focus, and problem externalization, Sofie supports clients in developing healthier coping strategies and creating meaningful, goal-aligned life stories.

She works with adults and couples seeking to shift from problem-saturated narratives toward more empowering ones. Sofie also has experience working with women and incorporates dream-focused work when appropriate to deepen insight and growth. She brings warmth, compassion, and curiosity to her sessions, helping clients explore new perspectives and approaches to their challenges. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma-related stressors, life meaning, and career development.
