Sharon is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with extensive clinical experience across diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment, juvenile detention, and outpatient therapy. She works with individuals ages 8 and up (children, adolescents, and adults) and welcomes clients with a variety of presenting concerns.
Sharon specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, and depression, drawing from evidence-based approaches and her deep background in these areas. She is trained in EMDR and delivers it primarily through an Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) lens—an attachment-informed adaptation that emphasizes relational healing, resource-building, and resolving trauma through a secure therapeutic connection. She also incorporates sandtray therapy as a creative, nonverbal tool to help clients (particularly children, adolescents, and those who find verbal expression challenging) process emotions, trauma, and inner experiences in a safe, symbolic way.
Sharon takes a person-centered approach to therapy, believing that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful healing and growth. She is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and move toward positive change.
She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and incorporates faith-based elements into counseling when requested.
Sharon is passionate about supporting clients through life’s challenges and helping them reach their full potential
