Rachel is a graduate-level intern who is currently attending Texas Woman’s University pursuing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from Collin College in 2013 and her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from University of North Texas in 2023. Rachel has always had a heart for helping others, which led her to her first career in nursing where she spent the last 10 years working as an RN in home healthcare with special needs children and their families. She has a special interest in supporting adults struggling with medical trauma, care-giver burnout, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and cultivating a kind and compassionate relationship with oneself. Rachel draws from an existential framework that places deep value on the pursuit of meaning, purpose, and authentic connection. She believes that much of our emotional pain arises not just from symptoms, but from deeper questions about how we live, relate, and find fulfillment in an uncertain world. At the heart of her practice is an emphasis on the here and now, not just what is being said, but what is unfolding between us in the moment. She views the therapeutic relationship as a living, evolving space where clients can explore themselves with honesty and courage. She strives to create a safe, caring, and nonjudgemental space where clients can grow and heal. Often, we go through the darkness of suffering alone, and it is Rachel’s strong belief that no one should be in that dark place alone, so it is her hope and deepest honor to walk alongside clients as they wrestle with all
