Matt Browning is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor from Houston, TX. He received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work and has been practicing therapy since 2017. However, his career in mental health began in 2013 and he developed his passion and focus on relational and emotional health. He considers it a deep privilege that his clients trust him with their private and vulnerable stories.
Matt is formally trained in three models that synergize into an integrative approach to therapy. Schema Therapy, AEDP and EMDR all backed by the theories of existential psychotherapy. He tailors therapy using AEDP for uncovering and processing emotion, Schema Therapy to understand and change deep-seated patterns, and EMDR for trauma resolution. This comprehensive approach fosters healing, promotes self-awareness, and empowers clients to create positive change. His special interests are working with men, childhood trauma, relationship issues, artists, depression, and people who are trying to figure out who they are and what they want out of life. He is a BIPOC and LGBTQ+ ally. Beyond his special interests, Matt has years of experience working with many other client needs.
