Grayson Wroe is a graduate-level intern pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. Grayson is trained to work with adults, couples, adolescents, and groups. She is passionate about working with a wide variety of concerns, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, career/academic concerns, stress management, low self-esteem, and relationship concerns.
Grayson’s goal is to empower her clients to work towards their goals as she lends a collaborative hand and a listening ear. Through her utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she believes that counseling works best when clients and counselors work together to explore how the client’s thoughts, behaviors, and emotions interact and examine the patterns they create. Through examining these patterns and the experiences that have shaped them, clients will be able to identify which patterns serve them and which patterns can be altered to help support the client’s journey towards overall wellness.
Throughout this journey, Grayson strives to build a strong therapeutic relationship with all of her clients. She does this by creating an inviting and nonjudgmental space in which clients can feel safe to be themselves. Grayson believes that a sense of safety in the counseling room is essential for any lasting growth, change, and healing to be achieved. Because of this, Grayson approaches counseling with a warm, kind, and humorous spirit. All in all, Grayson hopes to nurture an environment full of authenticity and genuineness in which clients can feel free to explore the topics that feel most important to them as they achieve their goals.
