Amy Drysdale is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from the University of Texas – Arlington with her Master of Social Work degree, and also has a Bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development.
Amy is LGBTQ+ affirming and currently works with individual clients (adults and teens 16+) and has experience in various settings working with eating disorders and body image issues, religious trauma, sexual trauma, relational concerns, and life transitions.
Amy uses both a Humanistic and Existential approach, focusing on both the client’s lived experiences and the therapeutic relationship. Her priority is creating a warm, safe, and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel heard and understood. Amy also utilizes techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and enjoys incorporating walk and talk sessions, humor, and expressive arts.
