Micky Knabe is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She was born and raised in Denton, Texas and received her Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Studies at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Additionally, she received her Masters of Science in Counseling and Development at Texas Woman’s University. Her background is in higher education, providing her with experience working with young adults through their academic journey.

Micky is LGBTQ+ affirming and currently provides individual therapy for teen and adult clients. During her educational journey, she became inspired to work with teens as they navigate their adolescence and flourish through the lifespan. She has experience in working with anxiety, depression, family and interpersonal conflict, life transitions, and multicultural issues.

Viewing each individual as a whole and unique person, she believes that fostering authenticity is vital in order to find meaning in life. Her theoretical orientation comes from a holistic approach and includes Existential Therapy and Person Centered Therapy. She believes that counseling helps one to grow and embrace their life and exist in it with wonder and curiosity.
