Jay is a Graduate Level intern currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas Woman’s University. Previously, he graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. Jay aspires to work with children and adolescents, is interested in play therapy, and is passionate about working with people struggling with OCD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Jay utilizes a person-centered approach to counseling and a child-centered approach to play therapy. He believes that a relationship built on trust and acceptance between the counselor and client is the most powerful and impactful part of counseling. Jay seeks to create a warm and safe environment where clients can work through intense emotions without judgment and be empowered to change.
